About Me
Hello, I’m Lyndsey, the one behind the lens! I am the sole owner, photographer, designer, editor, office assistant and bookkeeper behind 323 Photo Co. I am also a stay a home/work from home mom of three and married to my husband/second shooter for over 13 years. I have been a professional photographer for eight years, specializing in everything from newborns, engagements, weddings, seniors, and families. I am also available for headshots and business photos.
My Studio:
My newly built studio has been open since 2021 and provides a warm and cozy space for those indoor photos of newborns, children, and small families. I love to customize my in-studio sessions and am frequently making things by hand for them. Cake smash sessions are some of my favorites for this reason. My studio is packed with all boutique/hand made high quality outfits for your adorable little one (take a peek at the “client closet” link on my website to view them all!) I also have an abundance of props and backdrops. About 98% of the items you see in my work belong to my studio.
I also have a lot of nice outdoor space at my home studio. In the summertime we have wildflowers, sunflowers, and hay fields. In the fall we have amazing fall color! We have a beautiful creek down the road that I love to capture at sunset and is a favorite amongst seniors.
Newborns:
I really enjoy working with those squishy squeaky newborns and have mastered the swaddle! Most parents are surprised at how well their baby sleeps for me. Once you book a newborn session with me, I provide you with a prep guide (all the things I have learned over the last 8 years.) If you give me an advance notice of your baby’s name, I provide you with a customized sleepy cap with your baby’s name on it (just a little keepsake for your little one and they make for some adorable images.) The only things you need to bring to your newborn session are milk and diapers, I provide the rest!
Why choose me as your newborn photog? When you book a newborn photographer, you want someone who knows what they’re doing and knows what to look for when it comes to the safety of your little one. If you baby isn’t settling into a pose or prop, I do not force it. I will either take a break, re-adjust, and try again or move onto something different. And again, remember your session comes with the use of all my adorable props, outfits, wraps, backdrops, hats, and headbands. I am definitely a perfectionist when it comes to editing, I make sure to remove any baby acne and discoloration (unless parents state differently.)
Family photos:
As a mom of three shy introverted children, I make sure not to rush into a session. I understand some children need time to warm up to me and my camera. We will play games, sing songs, do some dances, or just let your child be a kid by exploring the area around us. It is my goal by the end of your session, your child doesn’t want to leave because they’re having so much fun! I love capturing movement in family photos, so expect to walk, run, giggle, tickle and just play with your children. At each family session I grab a photo of the whole family, the children together, the children individually and just the parents.
Senior photos:
Senior photos are scheduled towards the end of your junior year and can take place spring-fall at an outdoor location of your choice. Think about the things that your senior is interested in. Do they love being on the water? Do they like hunting/being in the woods? Are they a farm kid? Do they like the urban style? Do they love wildflowers? Do they play any sports? Etc…..This will help determine which location they might want to be photographed at. As far as outfits that will go hand in hand with location as well. I usually suggest they do a casual outfit with jeans or shorts, a semi dressy-casual outfit and then something a little fancier (Dress or dress shirt). I also recommend bringing props such as sports equipment or hats. I do not recommend a hat for your whole session as that can darken your eyes and we know mom wants to see those in your photos! Adding texture to your outfit can also create great depth in your images. Be careful on which colors you choose as well. Try to stick to neutral or dark tones, no neon colors!!
Why choose me for your senior portraits? I take my time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will guide you on posing and try to make it fun! I love getting to know my seniors, their interests and what they plan on doing after high school. As far as editing your senior photos I make sure to remove those blemishes, smooth your skin, fix those fly aways and remove any background distractions. Sometimes I even add a beautiful sunset for you (if nature didn’t give us one.) I always photograph my seniors about an hour before sunset to capture that beautiful golden hour light and hopefully sunset. I look forward to getting to know you and what you’re looking for during your senior session with me!
Weddings:
I am going into my eighth year as a professional wedding photographer! I have worked with over 70 couples in those eight years and every type of vendor you could have on your wedding day. From the day you book your wedding with me I am happy to answer all your questions you have about your day and schedule. With all my experience I have mastered the wedding day schedule! I make sure to schedule enough time for everything you request and also make sure to leave time for you to enjoy your day and your guests. The day goes by so quickly I don’t want you to miss out on all your special guests. You work so hard on all the little details of your special day and I make sure those details are captured for you to treasure forever. Once we get closer to your wedding day I put together a detailed list and schedule of everything you want captured and will check everything off as we go through the day to make sure we don’t forget anything. Schedules don’t always go as planned and that’s ok, we work around any things that may come up. We are very laid back and go with the flow, but sometimes with this job we need to stay on schedule and keep people on task. I become somewhat of a coordinator on your wedding day and you will frequently see me running around. You may see me wiping down chairs from the rain, making sure the men have the correct attire on, going to find a missing bridesmaid/groomsman etc. The day of your wedding I make sure to coordinate with all your vendors, so we are all on the same page/schedule.
I highly recommend you scheduling your engagement session with me at least 6 months before your big day. This allows you time to make those save the dates and/or invitations. It also gives us time to get to know each other and me to get to know you as a couple. I am always happy to meet with you in person before booking, because I know it is a big decision. All of my wedding packages come with all your edited images from the day, no choosing a limited amount of wedding photos! Please let me know if you have any other questions about me or how I run my business. And make sure to check out my portfolio on my website for an idea of what your photos will look like!
I look forward to getting to know you and capturing a lifetime of memories for you!
